- Ekofisk is the oldest field complex in operation on the Norwegian continental shelf. It has been in production for 40 years, and with this decision we pave the way for 40 new years, says Minister of Petroleum and Energy Mr Ola Borten Moe.

The fields are located in the southern part of the North Sea, around 300 km from the Norwegian coast.
