30 mill kroner to Norwegian partners in joint call for proposals with RFBR.

Call for proposals within basic research with application deadline 3. September targeting challenges for the petroleum and maritime sector in the Arctic.



MAROFF and PETROMAKS 2 participate together with NORRUSS in a common call with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Deadline 3rd September and project type is Researcher project. The call targets common challenges for the petroleum and maritime sector in the Arctic:

• Research that contributes to an increased understanding of the geological and geophysical processes in the Barents Sea related to oil and gas resources

• Research and technology for safety in maritime transportation and offshore petroleum exploration and production in the Arctic. This includes SAR, EER and oil spill preparedness

• Research and technology for safe navigation and maritime operations in the Arctic. This includes operations in areas with marginal ice and transport in areas with icebergs and small multiyear ice elements
