Striking NPD employees return to work

Industri Energi’s union members in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), who were on strike in connection with the wage settlement in the state sector, can now return to work.

On Saturday, union federation LO Stat accepted the draft solution presented by the National Mediator, calling off the strike that had lasted for nine days.

In the NPD, the strike has impacted post processing and payment of bills, and the internet fact pages, including the overview of seismic data collection and maps, were not updated. The work to update the overviews is now underway.

The settlement result will now be put to the union members for a vote, with the voting deadline set to 22 June.
