Dry well southwest of the 7220/8-1 (Skrugard) oil/gas discovery in the Barents Sea

Repsol Exploration Norge AS is about to complete drilling of wildcat well 7218/11-1.

The well was drilled about 230 kilometres northwest of Hammerfest and 80 kilometres southwest of the 7220/8-1 (Skrugard) discovery in the western part of the Barents Sea.

Extensive data acquisition and sampling have been carried out. This is the first exploration well in production licence 531. The licence was awarded in the 20th licensing round in 2009.
