The gateway to the fjords of Norway

Bergen is known as one of Europe’s great scenic cities, the “Gateway to the Fjords” of Norway and the Bergen Region; vibrant, scenic, creative and industrious, an ideal location to organize large as well as small meetings, with all the necessary facilities for congresses, conferences and exhibitions. Bergen is an international congress city, accessible and friendly with 33 hotels with more than 7,800 beds, and every conference facility that one could wish for. The unique and infectious atmosphere of Bergen plays a decisive role in attracting more and more conferences: Bergen really does have something for everyone!

Grieghallen is Bergen’s largest combined congress and culture centre, with walking distance to all the hotels in the city center, an excellent venue for all kind of events, conferences, exhibitions and banquets. The main plenary hall has a capacity of 2,100 participants and main conference hall up to 750 participants, and is complemented by 10 meeting rooms with the capacity from 10 – 550 participants and the exhibition hall “Dovregubbens Hall” that spans 3,500 square metres.

The Arenum is excellent for conferences, corporate meetings, special events and receptions of all sizes. This former Bergen shipyard now provides an exciting and unique environment for organizing trade fairs and other major events, with a main hall of 5,000 square metres and reception capacity of 3,000 persons and banquet facilities seating 2,000.

Something for Everyone
The 200 room Clarion Hotel Bergen Airport is Bergen’s newest and largest conference hotel, with direct access from Bergen Airport, Flesland. The main conference hall has a capacity of 650 participants, which can be divided into three separate meeting rooms and used as an exhibition hall with a capacity of up to 650 square metres. In addition, the hotel has 13 meeting rooms with a capacity from 15 – 160 participants.

Scandic Bergen City offers a wide range of facilities and venues, including 13 conference rooms with the capacity from 10 delegates to 500 delegates at the hotel itself. The Magnus Barfot Cinema and Conference Center offers meeting rooms from 150 – 264 seats with a total capacity of 1,050 seats; complete with new and modern conference centre tailor-made for meetings and conferences with large screens and surround sound. The 500 seat Bergen Cinema – KP1 is the largest movie theatre and conference room.

The SALEM Conference Hall has the capacity for 650 delegates in the main plenary hall with an additional meeting room in the same building with a capacity of 70 delegates. SALEM is located in the centre of Bergen, only 300 metres from Scandic Bergen City and next door to Magnus Barfot Cinema and conference centre.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Norge is a 345 hotel located in the heart of the city centre with a main conference hall with a capacity of 520 participants; 15 meeting rooms with a capacity from 10 – 250 participants and exhibition space with a capacity of 300 square metres.

Located at the historical Bryggen area (the wharf), the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel is a 273 room hotel with a main conference hall with a capacity of 500 participants, dividable into 4 separate meeting rooms; 10 meeting rooms with capacity from 25 – 100 participants and exhibition space with a capacity of 300 square metres.
