Luxury on the high seas

Norway has long held a strong position in the global cruise industry.

The country's most recent contribution is The World of ResidenSea - the world's first ocean-going luxury resort - which is the brainchild of the Norwegian cruise industry veteran and shipowner Knut U. Kloster, Jr. Backed by domestic and international shipping and hospitality investors and banks, the vessel is currently being outfitted and completed at the Fosen Yard Group in Trondheim, Norway, for delivery at the end of 2001.

The World of ResidenSea comprises 110 highly luxurious residences furnished in four different themes by four renowned international architects. Shown here is a Contemporary style living room created by TMT Design by Luciano Di Pilla.
