Norwegians economic optimists

Despite the continuing economic unrest in the EU nations, Norwegians are still optimistic with regard to their own private economy, according to a new survey made in the second quarter.

The survey was made by Finance Norway (FNO), the trade organisation for banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions in Norway.

A comparable survey made among citizens of the EU nations show that they are far more pessimistic.

While unemployment among EU nations vary between 10 per cent to 20 per cent of the total labour force, in Norway it is around 3 per cent.
