We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer Structural Analysis to join our Technical Department at Palfinger Dreggen in Bergen, Norway.


  • Structural analysis and stress calculation of steel structures, mechanical assemblies and components.
  • Prepare calculation reports and analysis for class societies and clients.
  • Cooperate with colleagues from other disciplines from Technical Department during design of the complete product.
  • Technical support for steel production.


  • Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer with MSc or BCs degree. Experience from similar position and proven good technical understanding can compensate for lack of formal education.
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in Structural Analysis or Mechanical Engineering, but newly graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in using MathCad and Ansys.
  • Good English skills, both written and oral.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform work tasks in an orderly, systematic manner and to agreed deadlines.
