Deputy Commercial Manager Service


We now have a position available as Deputy Commercial Manager Service. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a high paced techno-commercial global setting. The Roxar Service Business Line is part of Flow Lifecycle Care a new business unit in Emerson Process Management. Roxar Service works closely with our manufacturing operations in Stavanger and Cluj-Romania and all of our international sales and service offices to provide customers with world class solutions in order to maximise reservoir performance. Roxar Service, as part of Flow Lifecycle Care, provides an extensive range of flow service capabilities for the entire range of Roxar products to better respond to our global customer requirements.

General Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work both on supporting our commercial operations by managing Technical Services Agreements tenders, negotiations and contracts. In addition he/she will participating in innovating our services offerings, by further developing and productizing our Flow Life Cycle care services in the global Oil & Gas market. The Deputy Commercial Service manager will work closely with the Commercial Manager in order to meet agreed targets for sales revenue and sales margins.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Initiate, lead and follow-up tendering work in co-operation with required in-house specialists and or back office service support in Cluj, Romania. This includes ensuring tender documents always undergo proper review for technical, commercial and legal compliance
  • Contribute to maximising service sales profit by developing solutions with an optimal price and a right level of technical and commercial risks
  • Provide contractual support services to our World Area Service Operations
  • Participate in developing the Flow LifeCycle Care Services organisation, by developing our offerings, participation in marketing initiatives and implementation of new strategies. 
  • Manage the technical and commercial risk in larger refurbishment projects, including review of scope of work, pricing, Quality and delivery time. Provide handover package to manufacturing operation incl. all relevant information required to deliver in accordance with agreed specifications and conditions
  • Perform relevant duties with respect to International Trade Compliance procedure and processes
  • Assist the sales organisation with tenders, developing the Service scope and positioning our lifecycle services for both flow Assurance, flow metering and downhole opportunities.
  • Document the sales process in Roxar’s CRM system and act as CRM specialist by spearheading all commercial Service related CRM initiatives


  • Preferable a Bachelor or Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline, possibly combined with qualifications in Business Administration. However, candidates with only a degree in business administration with interest and ability to understand technical contexts may also apply. 
  • A proven track record, preferably from the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to work with and delegate assignments to people and teams within various business areas, such as technology, contract development, production and international sales, while maintaining a qualitative focus in conjunction with short deadlines
