Senior Field Development Planner

Aker Solutions' Estimating and Field Development Planning and Methods Department, based in Fornebu, is part of the Front End & Technology Division in Aker Engineering & Technology AS. We supply oil companies with major decision input for schedule, weight, cost and economical analyses for field development and development concepts. Internally the department is a central unit during preparation of tenders and later during execution of studies and projects. We are 18 persons participating in and making estimates and analyses for most types of offshore projects (topsides, substructures, subsea, marine operations) from the initial stages through decommissioning and abandonment, as well as for onshore projects. We work internationally and are well represented in several locations.


Responsibilities and tasks

-Establishment of overall field development schedules, both bar-charts and activity networks
-Performance of field development schedule analyses and criticality assessment
-Identification of project overall manning requirements (histograms)
-Performance of schedule benchmarking
-Preparation of schedule analysis reports for field developments
-Maintenance of schedule experience data from as-built projects in the department's experience databases
-Assistance to Study Management with establishment and follow-up of study schedules
-Participate in further development of working processes, methods and tools


Qualifications & personal attributes

- Master of Science degree / Bachelor or similar. Relevant experiance min. 5 years
- Multidiscipline understanding of oil and gas solutions
- Experience from planning and execution of oil and gas projects
- Experience from construction is benificial
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Customer service skills and attitude
- Capability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Able to work independently on the more varied and complex tasks without direct supervision
- Planning system skills (E.g. Safran Project, Primavera, MS Project or similar)
